 A time of trade and commerce is the present. Industrial development plays a very important role in the economy of country. With the industrial revolution, trade and commerce flourish. To run business and trade; trained persons in commerce are needed. The people get jobs of every nature in industries. Thus, the material prosperity of an individual and a nation depends on business and industry.


Today the problem of earning livelihood is the burning issue of the people. That is why, commercial education has become the crying need of the day. The main aim of commercial education is to train our students to run a complex and progressive business in successful manner. He must be acquainted  with the basic theories of economics and commerce. The colleges provide theoretical  knowledge to the students. His knowledge of commerce and trade will help him judge the different  trends of trade going on in the country and in the world. He will be able to keep an eyes on the loss and profit of his firm. He  will know the rise and fall of his business. Being a commercially trained person,  he will be a good administrative of his business. He will take decisions, frame  policies and tackle other affairs of his business in a very technical and successful way.

  

By commercial education we mean to get training in a special subjects like accountancy, Income Tax Laws, cost accounting, advance accounting, etc., Training in these subjects is quite essential and it helps a person to manage affairs of his business successfully.

There was an age when every person wanted to make his son or daughter a doctor or engineer. Now the situation has changed. Now the people like to see their children  graduates and masters in commerce. With the expansion of industry, business and commerce have also expanded. More commerce  graduates are required to run the bussiness world. There is an acute shortage of Chartered Accountants, commerce graduates and technically trained persons in our country.



Now the commerce education has become very popular. Commerce colleges in government and private sectors are being opened. These institutions are imparting quality education to the students. The students have developed a craze to do M.Com., M.B.A., C.A. etc. They get job in banks, factories mills and other business concerns. They are receiving attractive salaries and enjoying other facilities which the commercial Institutions offer them.
